Triplex aluminum wire has three conductors, with one of them being for neutral path, and two electrodes. The aluminum triplex cable is an electrical cable meant for power distributions from the utility lines to the consumer’s premises through the weather head. It has an operational voltage rating at 600 V and the maximum temperature rating of 75°C. A bare messenger wire of this electrical cable is bonded closely on the two insulated aluminum conductors, which are individually insulated with black cross-linked polyethylene for protection.
Composite conductor:It consists of two insulated phase conductors (usually aluminum core) and a bare
neutral conductor.
Insulation material:The outer layer of the phase wire is covered with polyethylene (PE) or cross-linked
polyethylene (XLPE) insulation layer, with temperature resistance of 75°C (PE) and 90°C (XLPE) respectively.
Twisted design:Three conductors are twisted in a spiral to form a compact structure.
Safety: Insulation design reduces the risk of leakage and improves the safety of operation and
maintenance.
Reliability: The twisted structure and high mechanical strength alloy can resist the physical impact of
severe weather (such as strong wind, ice and snow).
Energy efficiency optimization: Low impedance characteristics reduce power loss during transmission.
