ABC Cable (Aerial Bundled Cable) is a composite cable system widely used in power transmission and distribution, usually for laying overhead lines. With applications including temporary power distribution to street lighting and secondary pole-to-pole service cables, they are lightweight stranded aluminium conductors, both single core and multi-cores. Whilst Aerial Bundle Cables are used in rural power distribution in some countries, they are more commonly used in temporary power installations such as on construction sites.
Conductor: It is composed of multiple aluminum or aluminum alloy wires.
Insulation layer:Each conductor is wrapped with weather-resistant insulation material (such as cross-
linked polyethylene XLPE or polyethylene PE) on the outside.
Bundled design:Multiple insulated wires (such as three-phase wires, neutral wires, and ground wires) are
twisted or bundled together in a spiral, with a compact structure.
Typical installation examples
ABC Cable is usually installed on poles or towers and fixed by hooks or hanging hardware. It can be
single-circuit or multi-circuit in parallel to meet different load requirements.
Overhead power lines:
Applicable to overhead power distribution systems with rated voltages of 0.6/1kV and below, and can be
used as fixed laying lines or lead-in lines connecting the user end.
Low-voltage power distribution and outdoor environment:
Used for low-voltage power distribution, especially suitable for outdoor overhead applications; its
weather-resistant design and UV-resistant sheath ensure long-term stable operation in harsh
environments.
Extended application scenarios:
Some models are extended to the field of engineering home decoration, supporting the power
configuration needs of construction projects and home decoration.
