As Azerbaijan's largest power producer, Azerenergy JSC in 2216 generating 2.26 billion kwh, while the 2015 generating capacity of about 2.25 billion kwh.
Power generation helped Azerbaijan to create billions of kilowatt-hours of export potential. In order to export surplus electricity, Azerbaijan has focused on a number of key projects, including the Azerbaijan-Georgian-Turkish Energy Bridge. The Energy Bridge project will allow Azerbaijan to export 700 megawatts of electricity annually to Europe.
